I've only made one range trip since buying the pistol. Ran about 350 rounds through it with no problems. I used 3 different brands of magazines and a variety of ammo. Great all around experience

This is my 7th 1911 and I have gotten rid of them all for one reason or another except for this Ronin and another Springfield. My other Springfield is a Mil-Spec and I love it! It just hits for me. This ronin does the same thing in a smaller, lighter and classier package. The trigger sets it apart though and is the best trigger on a pistol I have used to date. If I was king for a day and could change one thing out of the box it would be the fiber optic front sight. It isn't because it doesn't work, in fact it works very well. It is just that every gun I have had, the fiber optic tube usually ends up on the ground somewhere lost in the void of sand and brass. Simple three dot sights like on the Mil-Spec version work well enough and generally are not gonna fall off on ya. I usually have to switch out the factory grips on 1911s because they are to fat for my hands to operate the controls without adjusting my grip extensively. These grips seem to be skinny enough that they are staying on the pistol. I am VERY IMPRESSED! Great job Springfield.
