Description
The Colt Woodsman is one of the most iconic .22 target pistols of the 20th century, and this 1928 production example captures the elegance and craftsmanship of Colt’s early semi-automatics. Built during the First Series, this pistol features a 6 5/8-inch barrel with a factory blue finish and the original checkered walnut grips. Known for its accuracy and balance, the Woodsman quickly became a favorite among target shooters and outdoorsmen alike.
This 1928 Colt Woodsman remains in very good overall condition. The pistol retains approximately 90% of its original bluing with only minor wear from handling and age. The grips remain sharp with light handling marks, while the bore shows fair rifling and the pistol is mechanically sound. A fine example of a pre-war Colt, this piece would be an excellent addition to any vintage Colt collection or as a functional shooter with classic appeal.
